MCC Baseball postpones Saturday games with Western Nebraska

Saturday’s scheduled baseball games between McCook Community College and Western Nebraska have been postponed because of weather concerns.

No definite makeup date has been set but depending on the weekend weather patterns and field conditions, the teams may try and play a doubleheader as early as Monday.

The teams began the four-game series Thursday in Scottsbluff with MCC losing the first game 10-5 and winning the second game 12-2.

MCC is 17-5 in the Empire League (Region IX) and maintains second place in the standings. The team is 26-21 overall.

Western Nebraska is fourth place in the standings at 13-9 and 22-27 overall.
